I’m not judging. All I’m saying is that if my girlfriend posted misogynistic and sexual portrayals of women, it would make me feel incredibly insulted and inadequate. So maybe. Just maybe. If you care for the person you’re with BECAUSE they do not portray a hegemonic ideal of beauty, you should never ever compare them to hegemonic beauty or instigate a decline in their self esteem by perpetuating its “normalcy”.
